The stain of Honour Killings and that of Urinary Incontinence

Clearly, both stink!
Both dribble as well: one, a component of the excretory system, and the other, of the atrophied intelligence quotient, a.k.a., idiocy.

16-year old Aqsa Parvez "died in an apotheosis of anger, strangled by her father (60) and older brother (29) in her bedroom, a room in the crowded home for which she was not allowed to have a door under her father's stifling control" (National Post, Toronto, June 16, 2010). Both pleaded guilty to her murder in what prosecutors say was "gender-based crime motivated by patriarchal concepts of honour and shame".

Aqsa was killed in the early morning of December 10, 2007. Mr. Parvez woke his wife declaring: "My community will say you have not been able to control your daughter. This is my insult. She is making me naked".

Did I hear that he killed his daughter for the reason of his own inadequacies when nude, or was it because his wife failed where he succeded by killing?!

Aqsa was killed for embracing Western culture. Parvez brought Pakistan to Toronto, Canada. The social and the dress code restrictions etc. he attempted to impose on this spirited 16-year old experiencing a moment of freedom enjoyed by all Canadians saw her take refuge at a shelter, and requiring the mediation of the Children's Aid Society and the India Rainbow Services. Mr. Pervez would not relent.

Knas won't kill, but the community does play the "honour" angle: it excommunicates! Perhaps this is our closed-fist handshake confirming our solidatiry with our brethren who take inspiration from the same well of religiosity that flows out of desert terrains of the Middle East.

Both follow the Stink Principle! And both leave a repulsive stain (on their respective communities)!
